ABOUT ME

I have loved horses for as long as I can remember. At just five years old I aspired to be a 'horse tamer.' My love and admiration for horses has only grown throughout my life. I began riding consistently at the age of seven and have ridden in hunters, dressage, and western. My heart horse, Rikki (pictured above), spurred my love for equestrian competition and largely shaped me into the person I am today. My family quickly got the horse bug and got another horse, Starbuck, to expand our fur family. Nowadays our herd just keeps growing! While Rikki and Starbuck have passed on, I am lucky to share two horses, Django and Jackson, with my family in Minnesota.

I recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Iowa State University in May 2022 with a degree in entrepreneurship and minor in advertising. Innovation and creativity are two values dear to my heart and I carry them in all that I do. During my last two years of college, I served as president and captain of the Iowa State IHSA Equestrian Team and grew immensely as a rider throughout my years of showing with IHSA.

My love for photography began in middle school. I grew from snapping photos with a Kodak on family vacations to experimenting with a DSLR. I remember spending my time at horse shows taking photos of my friends or sitting out in a pasture where we boarded our horses to teach myself how to compose great images. Photography became my creative outlet and horses were my inspiration. I value capturing candid and intimate moments often unseen. As a photographer, I hope to capture unique and priceless moments that you will cherish for a lifetime.
